Part of a very old Jnr English tune, I liked the catchword "Slice of the cake" I knew what Jnr English meant because I was telling myself that also. I put the words together quite swiftly, it was of how I felt at the time. I added the lyrics and Tried out the idea with Carroll Thompson, she came down and I run it through with her and we Recorded a 1 take Demo of the tune, with the intention for her to return to complete the tune, but it just did not happen. I decided to visit it on To the Blackstones, as I was doing a Blackstone album at the time and I needed tracks and fast to complete the album.
So I got the Gorgon riddim and gave The Blackstones the words of the song
